Dear Lord, I ask that you will guide the lives of those that are touched by Autusm. Show them compassion, patience and sensitivity by others. Help them find knowledge and resources to help them in their journey. Give them strength when it is needed, and rest when they are weary. Allow them to forgive people that lack understanding or are insensitive. Shower them with opportunities for progress and growth in following your will for their family. Bless them all, and may they always feel the comfort of your Love. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary. Amen.

Our son has autism and developmental delay. Joining our prayers with everyone else who is suffering.

On the spectrum, we need all the prayers we can get (I am higher end). But remember, all autistic people, just as all people are different, and we need different needs. I am praying for my fellow ASD with you.
 
My son, also. Has recently suffered an emotional breakdown after a month of trying, without help, to act “normal” :eek::eek: after several years of alcohol and drug abuse.

Prayer to St. Monica

Exemplary Mother of the great Augustine,
you perseveringly pursued your wayward son
not with wild threats
but with prayerful cries to heaven.
Intercede for all mothers in our day
so that they may learn to draw their children to God.
Teach them how to remain close to their children,
even the prodigal sons and daughters
who have sadly gone astray.
