Toward the end of his life, Luther’s friends started compiling his writings. In one such effort, The project was a compilation of Luther’s writings in Latin. Luther was asked to do the intro, and what he wrote is the closest thing to an “autobiography”.It is is short, and Luther reviews his life, from his perspective.
It is called,
“Preface to the Complete Edition of Luther’s Latin Writings” (Wittenberg, 1545).
