Same here. I don’t buy their excuse that they cannot reveal who has authorized their activities. Something fishy there.Way too “secret secret” about things, that always makes my spidey senses tingle.
Yes, please explain. I am baffled too. What does that mean?
Yes, inquirers are strongly exhorted to ask a good priest to ensure spiritual readiness due to the fact members often experience an increase spiritually. They sound cool, but I’m not sure I’m up for their devotions.
I heard the new rite doesn’t contain the words “bless this water” or something of the like. Does this make a difference?Eh… the case can be made that the literal exorcism of the water in the old rite, along with the symbolism of the addition of salt is certainly more symbolically rich, but yeah - there’s no real difference, IMO
We are each under the authority of our Bishop. The fact that this group will not disclose which Bishop has provided them permission does not bode well. If the Bishop of Pango Pango grants authority over his people to a priest, that does not mean that the people of the Diocese of Brigadoon has ceded his authority to the other Bishop.they are under an appointed exorcist priest(s), as it is under ecclesiastical authority.
