The Seattle Archdiocese spans from British Columbia to the Oregon border; from the Pacific ocean to the Cascade mountain crest. It has one FSSP priest that was accepted by the Abp under ten years of pressure by Una Voce Western Washington and other Trad groups.
This priest celebrates Mass 7 days a week and visits a couple of different parishes on ocassion. The FSSP is being “hosted” by a Novus Ordo parish.
It is 120 miles (2 1/4 hours) each way from my house in SW Washington. We are lucky in that we have permission to have a monthly Dominican Mass at a small rural mission parish. This priest comes up from Portland, Oregon.
The only consistent EF Mass near Eugene is SSPX at Veneta, Oregon. They have a beautiful large chapel and a school there.
Portland, Oregon only has a once a week EF Mass done by a priest from a nearby parish. Its still held at St. Birgitta’s. The time has bounced around since Fr. Brown became ill and retired.
Holy Rosary in Portland does a monthly Dominican Rite Mass and several times a year they celebrate a Missa Cantata on special feast days.
In Seattle, several times a year, the Dominican parish, Blessed Sacraament, celebrates a Solemn High Dominican Mass. We have gone to this Mass for the last two years. It is a magnificent Mass.
But the daily grind of weekends ( with fuel at above $3.00 a gallon) at local Novus Ordo Masses kind of still rules the day
