Very nice of you to post this for us, my friend. Deo Gratias!

Could you draw and write a comic strip about Catholic lay people living out their Catholic Faith in OUR TIME? I think such a work would attract many readers. Toodles. 👍

Wonderful! I used to draw too but I haven’t got the time any more.

You need to do these in the same format as the Jack Chick tracts and sell them. The unit cost would be cheap, so people would buy them in bundles and distribute them. You’d just have to get together with an apologetics group like CA who could write the stuff for you and maybe even distribute it for you. You just draw the comics and get a cut.

The problem with so many Catholic homemade art is that it’s kinda lame. Look at stuff like Catholic-opoly (a monopoly clone) or some of the kids books. Unless they are classic stuff from the 50’s, they stink.

This comic strip you have above would be well received. I encourage you to look into a wider readership that would actually compensate you for your time.

What would be fun would be to take each of Chick’s famous tracts and produce versions that teach the truth about Christianity and Catholicism. It would be especially effective if you could follow the exact same story lines and style so that they look just like an authentic Chick tract. The artist would have to put a disclaimer on the back of the pamphlet explaining it was produced to counter Chick’s false teachings, but it could be a major protest and disruption of his subversive anti-christian work.

I did something a little like this. It’s on me blog:

Thanks for the comments, guys! I’ll post more as a finish more!

Very nice! My only concern was that the reference given for more info on being Catholic was fisheaters.com. The forum over there is not very well moderated (hence a lot of bickering, name-calling, and uncharitable comments left up). How about switching that reference for more info over to Catholic Answers?

It’s excellent, your blog is excellent. You’re definitely talented!

You could leave the reference to Fisheaters there. It’s just another forum with people expressing their views. However they express their views doesn’t affect the accuracy of the information.

Perhaps, along with Fisheaters you COULD add CA? Catholic Answers has a lot more information indeed, but it’s always better to link to two good websites.
