I am a terrible human being; there is this girl I cannot stop liking. She is super beautiful. I want to stop lusting after her because I have a sinful obsession over her. She is about 2500000 times out of my league and I’m not allowed to date so it could never happen. Please help me. I want to pull out my hair right now

Well, I dont know if it is healthy for you, but you can take cold shower.
And pray. Remember that she is only a girl, God loves her as well as loves you so why would you do sth gross like lust after her?
The body is temporary.

I don’t know. I’ve never been so confused over anything before.

Praise God for her beauty!

This is only a glimpse of what heaven will be like!

Pray for her happiness and well being. That should take lust out of the picture…

You’re supposed to be attracted to girls. I think you’re being a little hard on yourself. Take a step back and allow yourself to be a human and maybe you’ll be a lot less frustrated and calm down a little.

Also high school crushes fade really fast. You’ll be over it before you know it.

There is nothing wrong with finding a girl or a boy attractive, its how you deal with it. If this girl is appearing nightly in your imagination, when the door is closed and there is no one around. Then its not a good thing.

When you lust after someone you are not respecting them as a person, you just want their body. How would you feel if you knew that one of your friends thought this way about your sister or even your mum?

You are not a terrible human being! Don’t be so hard on yourself! Secular society is obsessed with sex and not with love. If you really like this girl then your feelings will change to wanting to care for her, respect her options and attraction. Rather than just raging hormones.

As others have said pray. If you start to have lust full thoughts go do something else. Like sport or helping out round the house. When you go to bed make sure that you are tired and maybe listen to an audio book or even the radio to help keep your mind off the subject.

It will pass.

I think we have all been there, prayer to Our lady is the only thing for you my lad, ask for strength to over come your impure thoughts and do so to be pleasing to God and her blessed son she will help you but you have to take part and help yourself also. Remember we are not given to despair we have confession when we fall

You have already posted this
So hey, I’m 15 and there’s this chick I barely know but I have a crush on her. I know she has a boyfriend and I’m jealous of him. I don’t want to feel this way. Please give me advice. I’m not even allowed to date.
Go back and read those responses.

That was about covetousness this is about lust. I guess they are the same though

Congrats! You’re a human being. Welcome to the club.
(I’m not trying to be condescending; I’m just saying that your feelings are normal and natural.)

Finding someone attractive is certainly not wrong! But how we handle it is important. If you constantly think about her in a sexual way, that is a problem. I’m sorry if you can’t date her; that doesn’t make your attraction to her wrong, however. But if you can’t date her for whatever reason, you’re going to have to figure out how to handle your attractions in a healthy way so you can avoid being hurt.
