Not to get too personal, but I went to the doctor and he was a bit concerned with one of my tests. It could be a number of things, some of them serious, or “It is more than likely nothing serious.”

He told me not to worry. :frighten:

I disregarded his advice to not worry because I am prone to anxiety and panic attacks and the health care field has made me a bit of a hypochondriac. :ehh:

I won’t know until next week. 😦

I know exactly how you feel. I have just had a test for dyslexia, and for diabetes - I have to wait until next week to have the results for both of those too. Both of the results may have a deep impact on my life also.

Said a Hail Mary for you,

Hope it all goes well,

God bless.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Mark, praying for you that you can find occupation that will distract you, and hopeful thoughts that will sustain you during the wait.

There are many treatments for disease nowadays. Let your doctor find out what is going on, and try to be strong; have faith in the knowledge that we are all going through tough times and will be praying for one anothers needs.
PRAYER TO ST. ANTHONY
FOR PROTECTION AGAINST DANGER
O Holy St. Anthony,
be our protector and defender.
Ask God to surround us with the Holy Angels,
so that we may emerge from every danger
in the fullness of health and well-being.
Guide our life journey,
so we will always walk safely together with you,
in God’s friendship.

Amen.

Lord we pray for Mark that all will be well with his health and the tests will reveal nothing serious. Please bless him and if he has an underlying health condition please guide his doctor to find it and treat it that he will make a full and speedy recovery Amen

😦 Don’t take this the wrong way, but I find comfort in knowing that I am not alone (though I would rather it be that way for your sake). I pray that the Lord will have mercy on you as well so that your tests would come back with good results.

And the rest of you, thank you as well. It means a lot to me that you all have prayed for me.

Grace and Peace,
Mark

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Lord, please help Medic Mark to place all of his confidence in your merciful love. Help him to be abandoned to your merciful love with peace of mind. There really is nothing he can do to improve this present situation but pray, so please help him not to waste too much time and energy in excessive worrying. Help him to devote his time to praying, to spiritual and Scriptural reading, to the sacraments, and to his daily duties. It must be hard to wait for test results, but it is even harder expecting the worst outcome. Please help Medic Mark not to expect the worse outcome. Help him to be spiritually strong. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Did the doctor tell you what his concerns were? That would drive ME bonkers. I’d ask POINT BLANK what he was wondering about. He’s just a doctor, after all, not god;D

Yeah. The doc left me a message a while back, he wanted to discuss the results of one of my blood tests. Well, me, the dimwhit, put it off, I hate talking on the phone…so when I finally get back to him, I’m waiting for him to tear me a new one, only to tell me me my (LDL) cholesterol was 5-7 points higher than recommended, and I needed to be careful. Pfft.
AND?
Lord…
(I am 48 years old. What does he expect?)

Calm Medic Mark dear Lord, grant him patience to await his tests without speculating on negative outcomes. Your blessing on Mark and his career. Amen.

I don’t take it the wrong way at all 🙂 I feel the same, it is comforting knowing that someone is in the same position as you because then you’re going through it with someone rather than on your own.

Thank you for your prayers and I hope all goes well for you 🙂

Today is the day that I should be able to find out. I’m so nervous. 😊

Whatever it is, God knows and will take care of you. God grant you peace, Mark

Just got my results back and ALL of them came back good. Clean bill of health. 😃

Now that I know, I’ll simply tell ya. There was some concern that it might have been Hepatitis, one of the scourges of my industry. HIV test came back clean too. You can understand why I didn’t want to come out and say. Both diseases have a shame factor associated with them, which isn’t a good thing.

Thank you all who have prayed for me and thank you Lord, God for your bountiful mercy! May his mercy continue to fill my life and also yours.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Mark wonderful news…!!!

Our Blessed Lady thankyou for your intercession for our friend Mark
