Instead of being negative here, let’s try something nice. Post a link (not the actual images themself) to a church, basillica, chapel, or cathedral that architectual wise shows the BEST of Catholicism be it West or East.

Beautiful church, but I did notice that the altar rails were ripped away “A free standing timber altar, usually draped with rich cloth frontals, was placed in the main sanctuary after the liturgical reforms of the Second Vatican Council”. Kind of a shame, but beautiful anyway, would love to hear mass there.

These are still many of my favorites… Not as elaborate as some, but, true heart behind them. The Missions of California. My favorite is San Juan Capistrano (the “Jewel” of the Missions) Here is a list of them. My daughter studies them this year in 4th grade. Her favorite is Mission La Purisima Concepcion. She visited them all this Summer with her grandparents.
