I explained to a non-Catholic friend, who does not understand why we Catholics kneel during the Mass, what it is “all about.” It really is very simple if you take the time to explain: we Catholics believe that the Eucharist is the Real Presence of Christ Jesus.
Thus, it is Our Lord before us in the Eucharist. I say to my Christian Brother or Sister, wouldn’t you kneel if Christ Jesus appeared before you? That is usually all it takes to make them understand why we Catholics kneel.
The Eucharist IS Christ Jesus. That being the case, what else could we do but kneel or prostrate ourselves before the Most High, Jesus Christ?
By all means, kneel. You just may start a spiritual revolution. And God will be smiling…
