   Dear Gene,

This much is clear already. Judge Roberts is no Sandra Day O'Connor.
Last night we learned that President Bush wants to replace a woman who voted to uphold Roe v. Wade with a man who argued against Roe v. Wade, and that sends a clear signal that this White House remains bent on opening old wounds and dividing America.

There are big questions that must be answered involving Judge Roberts’ judicial philosophy as demonstrated over his short time on the appellate court. The Senate must learn whether he has a clear, consistent commitment to upholding Constitutional standards like civil rights, the right to privacy, and Roe v. Wade. These issues are in serious question if you take even a cursory glance at his record.

We need to ask the tough questions to determine whether John Roberts is the nominee who will give America a Court that is fair, independent, ethical and committed to Constitutional freedoms rather than an ideological agenda, and I promise you I will do everything in my power to assure that no question is sidestepped.

Throughout every step of the confirmation process, I will keep you informed about the questions that need to be asked, the answers we need to demand, and the principles we need to defend. It’s impossible to overstate the importance of this moment.

As the U.S. Senate discharges one of its most important responsibilities, I will be active and vigilant. I hope you will do the same, beginning right now. Start by sharing a few words about your personal feelings on the importance of this Supreme Court nomination.

   Thank you,

   John Kerry

Who cares? He’s only bothered about himself and his career. As are all politicians.

Oh and by the way people are bombing my country, incase you hadn’t noticed…🙂 Please if you remember say a little prayer, thank you.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

How about 1-800-GET-LIFE? or Get a Life?

World’s smallest violin…

I’ve heard (although not confirmed) that John Roberts is a traditional Catholic. Maybe Kerry is concerned that people will see how a REAL Catholic acts and it will make him and his Kennedy cronie look bad. 😉

Let’s have a pity party…1…2…3

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Actually, Kennedy is the senior senator from Mass, but is about as nationally electable as Oscar the Grouch (actually, I think Oscar has better chances in a national race), so therefore Sen. Kerry would be Kennedy’s croney.

Notice that Kerry does not say that Roberts does not have a consistent commitment to Constitutional standards. He just says that the Senate must “learn” about whether Roberts does holds to the standard of Roe and privacy - i.e. abortion on demand and gay marriage.

Kerry is a true politician in every negative sense of the word. It’s clear to me that Roberts does have a very great commitment to upholding the REAL standards of the Constitution. He’s just not committed to the the same set of hedonistic standards that Kerry’s handlers (err - “constituents”) would like him to be. Roberts’ standards are apparently true standards that reflect the rights of all citizens, including the unborn, and the dignity of the human person.

-Peace.

Someone once said that as long as John Kerry is around, Teddy Kennedy can call himself "the conservative senator from Massachusets."http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon12.gif

one thing these liberal morons can never figure out is that it is impossible to not force your beliefs on others. by saying, “you can’t force your ideologicial agenda on me” contradicts itself. it forces the ideology that no one can force thier ideology on me, which is an ideology, on other people.

our whole country has bought into this self contradicting way of thinking. the state now forces their religion -aetheism or the non-recognition of God in the public arena, on everyone else.
in fact if we define religion as a system of beliefs, then no matter what we do, we force our religion on others. at least conservatives are logical about it.

He acts like the country isn’t already divided. What do they expect Bush to do? Pick someone who will please them? I think not. I think we should send a box of complementary Kleenex to Kerry, NARAL, and other liberal idealogists.

Once a whiner always a whiner. These libs will never learn the reason they have lost the last several elections is because they are out of touch with the main stream of society.

Here is what I posted on his site; I urge you all to do likewise:

It is vitally important that the Supreme Court be filled with justices who explicitly understand their responsibility to uphold the laws defined by the Constitution of the United States and the legislative branch of our democracy.

Judge John Roberts is just such a man.

He will dutifully execute the responsibilities of his position.

It is important to note that just as the Senate has the responsibility to justly examine a nominee’s record, and not simply “rubber-stamp” the nominee, so every Supreme Court justice has the responsibility to examine every law and court decision pertaining to a case, and rule accordingly based on the rule of law first, precedent second, and not simply “rubber stamp” all previous Supreme Court decisions.

Judge John Roberts is just such a man.

I urge you to remove yourself for just a moment from the rhetoric of your party’s ideology and consider what is truly right and just, for if you do you will find no objection to approving judge John Roberts to the Supreme Court.
After all, John Kerry asked for comments… 😃

Imagine what kind of horrid nominee we would have if Kerry would’ve been elected. We could rest assured that we would have the most fanatical liberal justice from the 9th Cricuit in San Fran.

horrors!

Thank you America!

John Kerry, and the other Libs, realize that Reality has set in. They must realize that with John Roberts being picked means that they do not have the power to choose the next Supreme Court Judge. They have to realize, THEY LOST IN November! When will THEY ever learn?!

In my city there’s still a billboard that says “Vote for John Kerry” leftover from the election.

Between the wind, sun, and rain, the colors have faded, and the paper is peeling off in shreds.

Seems appropriate somehow.
