I have spoken English all my life and worshiped in the United States most of my life, and never until I became Catholic, did I ever hear āay-menā in Church ā at least in the Midwest and Northeast.Sr. Mary Deotima taught me that if you were praying in Latin, Polish, etc, the correct pronounciation would be Ah-men. If you are praying in English, it is Ay-men.
Wow - I had her in the fourth grade and still remember this. That was like 200 years ago!![]()
