Had never heard of this movie before. Interesting story of the wise man that was late meeting up with the others to bring gifts to the Saviour.

Family cast, Alan Arkin and his son, Martin Sheen and his sons Ramon and Charlie and his brother Joe Estevez.

Not as good a movie quality-wise as Martin’s The Way but the story was memorable.

Made for TV movies aren’t “B” movies since they were not released for the big screen. They took a short story and extended it into a 72 minute film for TV. What with commercials it probably ran 90 minutes to 2 hours on TV back in 1985. Such movies rarely compare well with major films–sometimes not even true “B” movies. It depends on the script, the production values, and the acting. I saw it when it came out on the tube, but since it was so long ago, I can’t remember if I liked it or not. Besides, many of my ideas and beliefs have change quite a bit since then. It certainly didn’t stick in my mind, that’s for sure. 🙂

I own this movie. 🙂

I don’t think I saw it on tv, but sometime afterward. It was a movie our whole family enjoyed watching when my older two children were in elementary school.

I have never heard of this movie before.

I did not realize Martin had a son named Joe.

I did not know that a movie had been made from this story.

I have had the book for many years and I love the story.

I will have to check out the movie- Thanks!! 🙂
