Baby Amelia now needs surgery

Thanks to all of you who have sent up so many prayers for little Amelia, born extremely prematurely at 25 weeks. She has grown and overcome many obstacles since early April, but is still not home (they thought she would be home by Christmas, but problems arose).

She now requires fundoplication surgery on her stomach/esophagus to put a stop to her reflux problem. The surgery carries increased risk for her, as she has pulmonary hypertension and higher than normal oxygen requirements, still. Please pray that all goes well, the surgery corrects the problem, and that she can soon go home, healthy, with her anxious parents.

For a Sick Child

St. Gerard who, like the Saviour, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, look down upon us who are pleading for our sick child. We thank God for the great gift of our daughter and ask Him to restore her to health if such be His holy Will. This favour, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers.
