At that age, I would have wanted the money. Of course, I wasn’t into going to concerts at that age - not many teens were concert-goers back then.

I have a bigger issue with allowing a 13 year old girl go see a “lady” parading around in hoochie clothes doing sexually provacative movements showing how much she doesn’t honor her own beauty and degrading herself, along with singing degrading lyrics, and witnessing people respond to it.

I try to file these little tidbits in my head as I never seem to know what to get kids and they rarely tell me they want the same thing more than once or twice.
The reason your kids don’t tell you more than twice is because teenage kids are NOTORIOUS for changing their minds all the time. If your daughter has not mentioned it in more than 2 months, it is because she no longer wants it. And the reality is, perhaps when she said it, she was just dreaming big. If she knew she had the choice between that and cash, she might really prefer cash.

But honestly, (and this is me because I HATE surprises), I almost sense a bit of a parental control issue. Your daughter worked (and I bet she did not choose to work, you simply told her she was doing it) and she can’t even get her fair wage. No employer tells a worker where to spend their pay cheque. Honestly, I think that is a bad deal to get a gift instead of money.
