Back pain is unbearable

My dear brothers and sisters, many of you know that I have constant back pain. Sadly, it has grown even worse in the last couple of days. Red tape has delayed a spinal procedure that is supposed to relieve my pain for a few months. My doctor has just put me on a new medication, but it will take a week to kick in. Please pray for me that I will be able to tolerate this pain. I am truly miserable.

In the meantime, I am offering up my pain to God.

Dear Lord,
I offer you my excruciating back pain
For the conversion of sinners
For the forgiveness of sins
In reparation for sins and
For the salvation of souls. Amen.

I so understand what you’re going through. I have suffered from several problems with my back for the past 9 years. I just lost three months of work due to it and at one point it was so bad I couldn’t walk.

If you’re going to have an epidural, injections, or have the nerves burned…I highly recommend it. I did all of it several years ago and hope to do it all again soon. 👍

I pray that the Lord will give you temporary relief until you have your procedures done. Keep me informed on how you are, ok?

From a personal experience, running really helps dtrengthren the back , and thus, lessen back pain!

I’ll be praying for you, my friend! Back pain is seriously the worst!!
 
Hello Sister,
I’m also in physical pain, sometimes i feel a sensation of panic. Two things i have found to bring some relief, Holy Communion and Eucharistic adoration. I recite the Rosary every day, and sometimes this also brings relief, but sometimes it makes it harder. I think this is because Mary and Jesus make good use of it, sometimes it is for me, sometimes it is for others. I give everything to Their intention, only offer suggestions sometimes.

I find consolation reading about suffering. If you have access to a Spirago-Clarke catechism, it covers this in great depth. Take refuge in the unfathomable rewards you accrue; how much Jesus and Mary love you, how soon you will be with Them. I wish i could say i suffer without pain pills, but i take a small amount. They won’t give more as they can find no explanation for my pain. And over time they lose their effectiveness. Remember that we live in a temporal world, and all things come to an end. I will pray that tomorrow’s Rosary be for your comfort.

Prayers for you! I do know how you feel. I’ve been thru a lot, but it was only the back pain that was intolerable to the point that I asked God: Why me?

There just is nothing worse than chronic pain and especially back pain. I will pray for your doctors to be able to help correct and solve this issue and for you to be pain free. God bless you with a complete healing.

I’m sorry you are going through this…praying that Jesus will share the yoke with you…

Prayer for Back Pain

Heavenly Father, You are intimately aware of the struggle I am experiencing, the pain and the despair. You know the desire of my heart to be healed of this back pain. I ask now for Your healing touch. I know that You are able and that just like in Bible times, You can heal me.

I also understand that You will chose what is best for me. I pray that through this trial, I will draw close to You and that You will be my comfort and strength. I pray that ultimately, whatever happens, You will be glorified through me.

I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
 
Thanks so much for your prayers and comments. I’ve had a let-up today. I don’t know how long it will last, but I thank God for the relief, however short-lived.
