Where do you live? In the US, many consider this to be cute and a little edgy or trendy. In other words, she thought she was being fashionable…when I was in college, I saw many women walking around in pajama pants…

Hmm, my experience is that most students are too poor to be buying flash clothing … I even remember one girl wandering through campus in what were very clearly pyjama trousers (in fairness perhaps she’d overslept and had to rush to an exam or something).

since it is the morning after youth CCD night I feel compelled to add that if your flesh bulges out over the top of your jeans they are the wrong size and the rise is too low, and you need to shop in the miss’s dept. and get out of juniors. survey of every male member of the parish, all ages, is unanimous, that is the most unattractive look ever adopted by women and girls of any age.

Never seen before or since in my studies here in Australia … and in my humble opinion, 'tweren’t nothing cute or edgy or trendy about these PJs :nope:

I’m from the northeast section of the US. I’ve seen many girls wearing the pajama pants look around campus, but to me, as someone who has never lived on campus ( I drive to class each day) I absolutely refuse to wear something like that to class or anywhere (no offense to anyone) but I often have to go out to the store or run errands after class and I don’t want to go out looking that way.

I recently lost a bunch of weight (from 200 to 150lbs.) I’m about 5’6" tall so I’m about average looking, and I donated a large amount of clothing that no longer fit, so I don’t have a large selection of clothing and I can’t really afford to go out and buy a new wardrobe. My intentions are to get a few new items and incorporate what I already have to make a modest wardrobe. Most of my tops still fit but I’m trying to make do with a small budget. Any ideas where to shop? Or when I get some time after graduation I could sew a few things.

Wal-mart, Target for new stuff
St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, Goodwill are even better. Just give yourself LOTS of time to go through all the racks.

If you can sew a straight line, you can get some pretty awesome fabric around various holidays (JoAnn fabrics is having an AWESOME sale right now).

I <3 this skirt, but to buy it is really expensive.

I’m 4’11 and weigh on a good day around 128. I"ve been “blessed” with curves. The best place in the world for clothing depending on your budget is GAP Kids. They have plus size jeans for kids and they fit amazing! They don’t make them super low, they’re cheaper than adult jeans. I also love GAP kids for their shirts. They and Old Navy Kids have shirts that hit me correctly whereas adult women shirts are far too long.

I also can’t wear long skirts as they make me look like I’m 3 feet tall.
