I know is is from the movie, but I absolutely loved the TV series “Fame” and watched it every week…

So did I. It was one of my fav series. When it was cancelled after 2 seasons, I wrote letters to get it into the then new first run syndication. Loved it that much.

Is that one of the Osmonds? I remember one of them played an intellectually disabled kid who was a recurring character!
 
Yes, that was Jimmy in the role of Troy Phillips. He was in 2 episodes during the 2nd season.
