Pray but also get some ant traps and put them were you see the ants coming in. You can get rat traps as well or I would call an exterminator for them. They may be carrying disease.

D-Con brand rat poison. It comes as pellets in trays. Set them where pets and children won’t get at it. It dehydrates and draws the rats out of the walls, so they die where you can get at them. It’ll spare you the stink of rotting corpses in your walls. The county I live in had a huge rat infestation about three years back - the weather was just ripe for them. We pulled about 20 or so out of our house - and it’s a clean house, to boot!
I’m sure there’s a similar solution for ants. I’m told sugar mixed with Borax soap out in the yard will draw a trail, and the borax brought back to the nest will kill them off.

Please be very careful if you use poisons for the rat problem.
A good friend almost lost her dog to mouse poison (d-con) which she thought her dog could not access. Saveing her dog was very expensive.
Such poisons really really need to be absolutely beyond reach.
An aunt in Nevada used boric acid agains ants with great success. Again, caution in regard to children and pets is crucial.
