I’ve seen on various threads posters make references to horrible decisions the courts have made, but the cases or outcomes aren’t cited. I thought this would be a neat thread to discuss various court decisions, whether locally or nationally, that anyone feels are wrong. I’m sure we can all agree on *Roe v. Wade *and Terri Schiavo’s case has it’s own thread, so everything else is fair game.

Slavery used the same terminology about African americans as it did on the unborn.Death with dignaty in Oregon:eek: Courts that say parental consent about a minor getting an abortion is unnecessary(even though schools are not allowed to give an aspirin without the consent of the parents).

I agree with you on this. I find it interesting that minors in the custody of their parents or guardians have little rights to privacy, but they can go to a chop shop and not tell their parents? Very strange.

There was a court case in Memphis,TN. brought by parents against an abortion mill(keep in mind we have a parental consent law)The pro-life lawyer is a member at our parish. Here was the situation: the minor procured an abortion without the parents consent, the minors abortions was "botched"the minor had to go to the emergency room and be admitted into the hospital. The parents sued the abortion mill for abortion without parental consent and for the hospital bills that occured as a result of the abortion. The parents lost:mad: The parents were told that their daughter lied about her age and the abortion mill is NOT responsible for their minor child or her hospital bills:banghead: What is wrong with this picture?

Planned Parenthood sued SC over “Choose Life” license plates. The state lost. Now we either have to do away with the plate or offer one for abortion advocates. I suggest “Choose Murder”.

Yeah, but if that minor bought a pack of cigarettes or alcohol and lied about their age, the person who slod the product is responsible. Heck of a double standard.

I remember when that happened. The pro-life advocaes swayed the courts sayng the license plates showed the state endorsed the pro-life lobby.

Abortion is not a product it is a surgical procedure ending in the death of a child and possibly the female procuring the abortion. So why are there not procedures in place to verify age?

One would think there were such procedures in place since for all inensive purposes, an abortion clinic is a medical clinic. Perhaps the result of that case had more to do with a ignorant jury than anything else.

I would love to get a hold of the transcripts:( Recently there is a case where a 16 year old boy is being charged with the crime of taking a small baseball bat and beating his 6 month pregnant girlfreind in the abdomen resulting in the death of the baby. This was done at her request. She has not been charged with anything:mad: Because of the abortion laws, she can’t be charged but he can and is.The excuse for doing this were parental laws that were in place:rolleyes: Planned parenthood jumped on that saying if this law had not been in place she could have had this done in a safe environment. The whole mentality is diabolical.
