Why Poland?
No reason really, just the first country that came to mind for some reason. The point was the time period.

I haven’t watched the movie Constantine yet, but what does everyone think of it?

its good to see catholics allowing people to make the choices god made available to them for themselves.

ohh wait…

it would seem you are doing completely the opposit.

whats the point in “divine judgment” if you are not only helping people to cheat it (their souls arent going where they would/should if left to their own devices) but actively destroying all possibility of siners sinning? isnt that simply going to result in all would be sinners going to heaven? and what are they going to do when they get there huh? seems to me you are giving would be agents of the devil a get into heaven free card.

It’s a waste of time. Keanu Reeves remains employed as an actor despite a noticeable lack of talent. The script was dully written, and it had at least one plot hole big enough to swallow the main character’s driving premise.

Amen. It is one of those impossible questions like, What is the sound of one hand clapping? If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound? Why does Tom Cruise get to be in movies with real actors like Dustin Hoffman, Robert Duval and Paul Newman? 🙂

Hi novex, welcome to the forums.
I honestly don’t understand what you’re saying here. We were just discussing why we don’t like a movie. We’re not trying to force anyone not to see it or forbidding people to make choices. Furthermore, we believe in free will, so people can choose. They aren’t doomed to go to Hell and somehow sneak out of it. I don’t understand why we wouldn’t want repentant sinners going to heaven, and once they’re there, they’ll probably be praising God like all the other repentant sinners up there. Given that this thread is about movies, though, your questions probably deserve an answer that would be better given if you made it its own thread.
I don’t like the movie based on what I’ve heard, and I’m not going to spend my money on it. I don’t really see how that is going to prevent other people from making their own choices.

Back to the topic of this thread…

but in all cases, we must be ready to defend against this, and attack it if at all necessary. We must not allow any more souls to be lost as a result of this kind of thing. We must be ready and know how and where to defeat this, not only in private venues such as this but in the public view as well.
:hmmm: must be careful my friend, your word’s are rather strong and could be misinterpreted.

Peace be with you!

This looks just stupid. Did you read the link in the forums where Flemming says he’s just trying to start an urban myth from scratch? He admits out of his own mouth that his film’s full of s***.

In Christ,

Everybody knows of the da Vinci code, well, another bad movie is coming

thebeastmovie.com/

It will be realeased on 6/6/06

According to this movie Jesus never existed
heh…the day before my 24th birthday. That’s all the date means to me- I don’t buy into the numbers game- that’s just an ancient Greek reference to an ancient Roman emperor who lived and died centuries ago.

Psalm45:9:

Second worst movie I have ever seen EVER!!! I’m going to post on it soon…maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but, soon…possibly. OMgosh!!! I HATE this movie!!! Seriously. Like, I knew that the Church would be bashed (& it kind of was, it was more dragged through the movie than bashed) & the theology would be wrong, so wrong, but, when they dragged up “Missing parts of the Bible”, I’m like, “OH NO!! LEAVE THE BIBLE OUT OF THIS ONE!!” I was so upset!! Oh, I am seeing red, here. Seriously. If you’ve seen “The Prophecy”, “The Ring”, “Indiana Jones”, “White Noise”, “The Ring Two”, “Saw”, a vampire movie (take your pic), & excriment, you’ve already seen this movie.

Can you believe that there is an actual forum devoted to this film? I almost wanted to join, but as I am in the practice of having zero tolerance for stupidity & persons under the control of their idiotic opinions I decided to pass. I did read a few things these morons were posting, the most disturbing coming from a person that claimed to be an “informed catholic” that posted that the Catholic Church is not a Christian church at all & that the “fathers” of the protestant reformation were “spot on”. :whacky:

Anyways, more garbage on the big screen that will be protected by “freedom of speech”. Yet, if a christian were to make a movie documenting the perversions of homosexuality or abortion, we’d be called “hate-mongers” & social terrrorists, or whatever new catch-phrase that would shine a light of shame on Christianity.

I remember when I boycotted the movie ‘Dogma’…the movie theater personel called the police on us & then later doused us with water ballons from the theaters rooftop. Glad to say that the theater went out of business less that a year later. 🙂

Don’t bother. We rented it and what a waste of money. It made no sense what so ever. When it was over I looked at my husband who had this look of “huh?” on his face. He said, “Well, we won’t bother watching that one again.”

One comment Reeves made in the film was that Jesus didn’t die because he was crucified, he died when his side was pierced. :nope:

Constantine: By all means rent it! Great supernatural action movie! The guy playing Satan at the end is worth the rental price ALONE! 👍

I am watching it now…

I don’t normally buy movies like this. I guess I am shallow for just buying it for the visuals. The priest that dies makes me sad.

And this “other” movies looks terrible.
