I want to ask, can I read a book, in which it is much magic, evil, prejudice, fictitious or real other than Christians religions, elements controling, even things such as death, undead or even controling of them, necromancy, other evil and etc… Or things, such as people, animal or mythical creatures ressurection, healing by magic, etc. If specifically, I’m reading second Eragon’s book.
And one more question, can I read similar books, watch similar movies, play similar games or computer games, or even call myself (I mean, give name to my character or group in computer games, such as “Killer” or something like that) and create characters which are called by game, program such as “Necromancer” , “Soul Taker” or “Bishop” ? I know, some of these things are terrible, but this is just a game, so please, answer me.
Thanks.

I vote yes. I don’t think naming your character “killer” in a video game is a sin.

Likewise, I don’t think reading murder mystery novels or fantasy books is a sin either.

Just make sure you can seperate fiction from reality, and aren’t negatively influenced by these things in the “real world”.

Thanks a lot. My opinion was similar.
And what should I do, if I play internet game and I see a person with a bad nick? Should I ignore him, write something to him or what? Again thanks.

I think it depends on the nickname. I play online games too. Some people choose weird names…there’s a lot of weirdos out there, and some people choose names just to sound tough. If someone’s name was “I eat babies” I would probably just play with them, thinking its some wierd little kid trying to be cool. However if someone’s name was “I h8god&the pope is a cry-baby” I would probably ignore them and not play with them, because I’d be offended.

Use your commone sense, and good judgement. Also, be careful with who you meet and play with online. Use your head.

Fantasy is fantasy, keep your mind about you when it comes to character names. If there’s an offensive name, avoid that player unless it’s really bothersome and you could probably report it.

Fantasy magic isn’t reproducible. You can’t tap X and O four times to revive a real person, just know that you cannot do it in real life with magic.
