So, I was looking up website about Catholicism and I stumbled upon this really bad website. the site is (Edited)

If some of you guys could go there and look at it, tell me what you think. I think it’s super ridiculous, everything this person says is just so…wrong.

The website also has a forum, so if all the people on here would post on it, maybe he would begin to se the light?

It is “bad” in the sense it is ridiculous. When the main subject tab on your website is “exposing the anti-Christ” you know you are in for some pretty desperate attempts at “answering” Catholics.

If you have specific parts you want to get help on, please post them, otherwise don’t waste your time with that page.

The webpage looks too small for the forums to be of any benefit (not enough traffic, if any).

Not only bad doctrine (appears to be anti-Catholic Seventh-day Adventist site), but bad design. See this page:

I hope it never gets fixed. Format messed up in IE6 and latest Firefox. Might work in IE7 I don’t know. Site says “Best viewed in Internet Explorer” 😛 When you exit the site it even asks you “Don’t forget to add us to your favorites” in a pop-up thing. So annoying.

I agree, the person isn’t a Seventh-day Adventist, she is a Messainic Jew or something like that. But yes, it is very anti-Catholic. This person calls the church the anti-Christ and thinks the pope was pro-Hitler or something like that, just the most ridiculous accusations I’ve ever read.

Its statements like this that prove the web-author is simply cutting and pasting mis-truths from someone else, and not doing any of the research themselves.

Accusations like this are great indicators of the “lack of scholarship” in some people’s research.

Why give them the hit-counts? 🤷

They might get to thinking they’re popular, and keep funding the thing - I would recommend just staying away.

the thing is, this person used to be Catholic, a nun even. Some Messianic people got to her and who’s to say she won’t “show the light of truth” to other Catholics. Don’t we as Catholics have a duty to end this brain washing?

I don’t consider that very likely. It’s very common for people of this sort of style of religion to “lie for Jesus” - that is, to make up stories that cause people to think they are “experts” on something that they actually know very little about, so as to ensnare the ignorant. It’s quite possible that she has never set foot inside a Catholic Church in her entire life, especially if she believes some of the ridiculous things she says about Catholic Churches.

What we have a duty to do is to catechize our children - make sure they are taught correctly, and thoroughly, so that when they encounter such people, they will be able to tell at a glance that it’s all a bunch of ridiculous lies. That’s all we can do - we can’t argue with the Devil; all we can do is avoid him and teach our children how to avoid him.

On the main page there is a poll asking if they like the design of the site, and I voted “great.” 🙂

Inviting other posters to board-swarm is against forum rules.

zach dunn and all,
Your posts have been edited due to the inclusion of a suggestion for other forum readers/members to visit someone else’s website for the purposes of Apologetics debates.

In an effort to illuminate and explain the Catholic faith, CAF makes every effort to provide our participants with a pleasant and informative place on the internet where Catholics and non-Catholics may gather.

It is our hope that respectful dialogue and discussion will lead to better faith understandings. And so in charity, we ask that our forums not be used for encouraging mass visits to other websites. In the past these kinds of efforts, although perhaps well intentioned, leave participants at other websites with negative impressions.

Your cooperation in helping promote these aims of faith exposition, hope for fruitful discussion and charity in implementation are sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,
