Badly Need Work!

I’ve been unemployed for quite some time. My grandmother has been helping me so much but I’m capable of working part-time. It’s just a question of finding a job. I’ve been trying to get a student assistant position at my university so it will be more convenient and allow me to get the experience I need since my major requires office work. I applied for a Student Employee position within the administration department (as well as other positions) and heard from the hiring representative this afternoon and she said that I have the qualifications they are looking for. In order to be eligible, you have to be an actual student so I had to email her my fall schedule for confirmation AND make sure that my schedule will work with their work schedule. They want me for the afternoons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays which works out great because all my classes end around 12pm (or a little after like 12:02pm).

PLEASE say some prayers that I get this position. It would be so amesome to go to class and then to a job and not have to work on the weekends/holidays or any late nights!

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers. I’m waiting for a reply back to the email I sent (in reply to hers) yesterday about my school schedule. I’m hoping to hear something either today or tomorrow so I can get an interview for Monday after class. 🙂
 
Thank you for your continued prayers! I received an email this morning from my school representative about the Student Assistant job and she wants me to come for an interview this Monday after class. I would start work the same day the Fall semester starts, as well, contingent upon a job offer. Please pray that I do well!

Please continue to pray. I recently had to have car work done and had to get help paying for it. Also, my mom may be laid off for a time in October while her employer (a family member) re-evaluates his small business as he does not want to be in the same industry he’s in now. He’s burnt out. If this does indeed happen, money is going to be tight at home and I want to be able to contribute, even a little. My mom is stressed out because she cannot get another job for medical reasons.
