Thankyou oldcatholicguy, may all Catholics learn from your saintly spirit 🙂

With love and admiration to you dear friend …

.
My spirit is far from saintly, please do not call it such.

The amount of attention attributed to debating or “reasoning” with the Baha’i faith or any other faith on here is unneeded. Instead of studying about other cultures on their religions or debating with the Baha’i faith or any other faiths like I used to and falling into the never-ending invitation from others to reason with them about each other’ faiths, these biblical passages reminds me to leave it all alone today.

**1 Peter 3:15 **
15 But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.

If they won’t listen/tries to interprete your Scriptures for you/seek to reconcile their religion with Catholicism:

Matthew 10:14
14 And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

Why?

1 Corinthians 1:18-21
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31
26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Summary:

All in all, we are two different religions with nothing to do with each other. To pursue in “reasoning” so as to reconcile both religions as if we are similar in anyway or to prove each other is wrong… is futile. No party is going to give in. Let there be a clear line drawn between both religions.

Time is better invested in prayers, worship & good works. Much easier to humble ourselves and stick to what we are supposed to do as God commands, instead of “reasoning” with people who is trying persistently to make you see their point of view regarding their religion or to prove Catholicism to be right.

We know Catholicism is the true religion to God. And that is enough.

Ah, so starting a number of threads on someone else’s faith in order to throw out arguments and accusations you really don’t care about is the new definition of “fun.” Do you limit your “fun” to just this particular faith, or do the same with other faiths as well?
I’m smiling because I know it would be impossible for me to get my point across on their Forum, because it is impossible to get my point across to just one member,Servant19 … who every time I ask a Question to saids “This is a subject of another Thread” So I have to make a New Thread just to ask him a Question.

This is because whenever a Baha’i offers a perspective on any thread which is not necessarily Catholic, the origins of that perspective is questioned and the Faith as a whole is questioned and debated.

Why can’t a Baha’i offer a perspective in what is after all a “Non-Catholic Religions” section without it having a number of Catholics jumping on the “this is from the Devil” bandwagon, like wolves?

Do some Catholics have any idea at all on how to converse with other people?

Now onto the not answering questions Techno. If you would like I could give you a whole number of questions over the last month that I have posed to you, which have been very much related to the topic of the said thread which you have not posted. Would you like me to send them to you by PM?

God bless you 🙂

This looks like a fun thread 🙂

You guys enjoying yourselves?? Good…

So we have one historical inconsistency stated by Baha’u’llah.

So we are talking about historical inconsistencies in the Bible? Where do we start!!

Let us reason together…or is this an example of the “falling away” of Christians emphasised in the Bible?

🤷
Lol, historical inconsistency…this would be like the Rev. Billy Graham coming out and saying…"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Daughter , that whoever believes in Her shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Servant19 because I thought them too silly to answer, repost them now on this thread please.

No, its a bit like the men with Paul hearing the voice of the Lord in Acts 9, yet no one but Paul heard the voice of the Lord in Acts 22…

Just one example…

Servant 19… I’m Sorry and I knew that it would hurt your feeling to tell you that I believe you you’re being deceived by the Devil, but I don’t know how not to say something of such importance to you.

There is nothing that I can be more certain of than a knowledge, not a belief, a knowledge that I will never see or encounter no Devil, or Satan.

I am a resurrected body living in Gods Kingdom. How can I possibly convey that knowledge to you? I get hurt because your false statements about the Bahai Faith are denying people their resurrection, including yourself.

You can call 10 million Bahai’s deluded, but we know what we see, hear and feel is the Kingdom

God bless you!

But everything Paul heard was later recorded in the Bible, so we do know what Paul heard.

Servant19… Judas Iscariot was absolutely certain in his beliefs too, but in the end was he Right ?

deluded in what they see, hear and feel ?

So were the Jews
So were the Christians
So were the Muslims

The point is valid reasoning that complies with reality and established scientific argument.

If religion complies and affirms reality, empirical science, then it has validity.

Please don’t compare the perfect and rational system in Baha’u’llahs Revelation with some ufo theory.

🤷

So if 15 million people can be so easily deceived by something so preposterous as an ufo theory, how much so could people be deceived by something cloaked in a few religious truths.

The same can be said about Christianity. Jews swear by it even today.

The point I am making is that at least the validity the Bab and Bahaullah’s supernatural claims is verified by historical scholars and independent laypeople and diplomats and orientalists, poets and anthropologists.
