You must understand I still have much to learn about the Catholic faith and all I wish to do is enrich my knowledge
What I said was that it would be good ifNow what were you saying?
I understand that it is wrong to give the gays a “wedding cake” because you are supporting an unholy union that is unnatural to God’s plan

there are a lot of questions here, let’s work thru them as best I can.I will take a look at it! I didn’t see it.
But I’m not saying she should go along with anything that is against her religion.
Sending the couple away with names of other bakeries would be against the religion?
Newbie2 and PatriceA are Catholics and they are in agreement with this one it seems…so they would be wrong, as Catholics, to do this?
You see…this is why several posts back, I was asking a lot of specific questions about how “direct” or “indirect” a Catholic can be with this gay couple and what actions would show “support” of the gay marriage… (and I took a lot of heat, because someone thought I was being judgmental, when I was only asking questions to understand and define this thing here…)…which is why I posed the question, yesterday, of whether or not the baker should or should not bake a birthday cake if this couple came in to get a birthday cake for their kid.
From what I could tell, that would not be “direct” enough to feel as though it supports gay marriage and a gay couple having children together.
It would be okay for the baker to bake a birthday cake (this is starting to feel like a math equation…) for the gay couple who wants to have a party for a child they have together.
But directing them to another baker would NOT be okay, right?
I’m just trying to figure out what the pope, for example, would say this woman should do. Just show them the door immediately and not be nice at all?
After she invited them into her home for a business transaction under, for lack of better phrase, false pretenses?
It’s hard to figure out the nuances here…
She’s not allowed to be “nice”?
(this is an honest question here…)
