Hi,Rau
God forgave the a woman of adultery; What I think is of little consequence, telling them about truth{JESUS} in all matters is necessary this is our calling. They must resolve this with much thought if they care to do so. Hopefully a seed will be planted.

God Bless

Final judgement belongs to the Lord.
He did not congratulate the prostitute on her career choice. I think this was my point.

He did better than that, He forgave her for that bad choice and the advice to leave that career.
Is this not our calling when we see sin at the door and they need help to discern if they are willing to listen ?

Reread your post #47. You advocated offering congratulations as the first step.

Ahhh. No room at the Inn, then?
The priest, in the name of God, wanted you to turn this family with children away?

Just read the blog–it’s wonderful, loving, and it would be my advice, too.

.
No room at the inn? They found a room that was better for them.

No because we are not god and they are not asking for any advice they are just asking for a cake to be made for their wedding. 😉

I think that a few of us are overreacting. Too me acting as bridesmaid or bestman would be participating in a “wedding”. As well as being a flower girl or ring boy.

But baking a cake or arranging flowers, is to me not direct participation.
Yup. I think so, too. Now, baking a cake or arranging flowers as a GIFT to a same-sex couple? That would be “participating”.

if we look at same sex marriage as a sin. fine.
i can appreciate the differing thoughts from all.

why have i never seen a post about the moral dilemma of renting to someone that has been divorced and is now remarried? doesnt the bible condemn that? what about the guy that doesnt report all of his income when he does his taxes? should he really be allowed to coach your kid’s baseball team? he’s a sinner. i have had impure thoughts. should i be banned from this site?

why does it seem that all of america is focusing on gays/lesbians ?

what is worse, a lesbian couple that is working hard to become better citizens, and trying to build a strong relationship with God, or the Catholic family man that looks and acts the part, but has a black heart?

Who am I to judge?

But as described, I would rent to the couple.

Sorry for coming to the thread late and not reading all the replies.

Is this thread about the current ‘Gay Cake’ case in Northern Ireland,or another ‘Gay Cake’ case?

WHAT…???

You have Gay Cakes in Northern Ireland…???

"Impetuous!"

As quoted by Barry Fitzgerald who played Michaleen Flynn in the John Wayne movie “The Quiet Man”.

Not at all, I took the order first, then proceeded to follow the command of Jesus, with the help of the Holy Spirit. To refuse a customer is not good business practice, it defies common courtesy, and the ability to have a real conversation without animus toward the misguided individual.

Jesus came to call the sinner not the upright, that is our task.

Matthew 28
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

I just wonder what Jesus would say if the response to His “Sin no more” was met with “No thanks Jesus I like my sin.”?🤷

Hi Zolt. 👋

Yes, a ‘Gay Cake’ case has just been submitted to court and we are awaiting judgment.

A Christian family bakery were asked to bake with Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street on it. They refused and have been taken to court for discrimination.

Wait a minute. Have Bert and Ernie been confirmed gay Muppets? They do share a bedroom, but so what, can’t they just be roommates and friends? Incidentally, two characters by the same names previously appeared in the classic Jimmy Stewart film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” but without the gay innuendos…I think.

I agree, but for some reason Bert and Ernie became gay icons. 🤷

That is why the bakery would not make the cake.

Hi Tarrat, this is exactly what Judas did, Jesus knew what Judas was going to do so with a warning and a possible way out only if he repented. He continued his mission of betrayal of the Son of God.

Say it isn’t so…😦

Bert & Ernie, Bevis & Butthead, Martin & Lewis, Abbot & Costello, Cisco & Poncho, Cheech & Chong, Cagney & Lacy…even Laurel & Hardy did “bed scenes” together.

Next it will be Roy Rodgers & Trigger… wait…lets not go down that road.

The reason it’s different is that the people in your examples aren’t defining their interaction with you and your family by their sin. They are not demanding you support and even praise their sin.

The divorced and remarried person might have an annulment or another situation that makes their remarriage not a sin.

The baseball coach is unlikely to brag to your kids about cheating on his taxes.

And you are not (at least not yet) telling us every lurid detail of your impure thoughts. If you did, yes, you would likely be banned from this site.

But the couples that started this debate about same-sex marriage are leading with the information of their sinful intent and demanding that everyone celebrate it.

That’s why the reaction to forced endorsement of same-sex “marriage” is so strong.
