On our news tonight that Bangladesh has been hit by a powerful cyclone and although, Deo Gratius, few have lost their lives…millions will be homeless. Lord we are powerful and rich countries in the west, may we develop with Your Grace a powerful and generous, unselfish, concern for all our fellow brothers and sisters in any sort of need. Amen.
 
Father said this morning at Mass that 1800 had been killed.

Take them, Lord, into Your Eternal Peace and Joy for we trust in Your Mercy…
 
Praying for all those who have lost their lives,
and for the family and friends who have been spared.
 
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord. Also praying for those who survive and rebuild, beginning all over again. Lord grant them strength.
 
Praying for all the deceased and other victims of this tragedy.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Though the aftermath of the cyclone in Bangladesh is no longer receiving media focus…the problems there remain very real and pressing…
