The article says right there in it and this is from the New Arab; that the reason the gasline was not fixed was because allegedly the Mosque did not pay a bribe. Horrible that one would have to live in such an environment, in other news, a woman TV host was killed in what is being called a domestic violence incident in Balochistan, that’s part of Pakistan from my understanding, see story below as well. But the story is a bit contradictory:

The death toll from a gas explosion that tore through a Bangladesh mosque has risen to 24, officials said Sunday, as rescuers described how survivors jumped into a nearby open sewer to escape the flames.

Worshippers were at Friday evening prayers when the blast sent a ball of fire through the mosque in the central district of Narayanganj near the capital Dhaka, emergency services said.

Police said unidentified suspects opened fire on Shaheen at her residence in TTC Colony of Turbat. The killers escaped unhurt from the scene.

She was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Turbat where she succumbed to her injuries. She received three bullet wounds, police official Allah Bakhsh told DawnNewsTV.

“The killing was the result of domestic violence,” Kech Superintendent of Police Najeebullah Pandrani said, adding that police were investigating the murder.

“Unidentified suspects”, “Domestic Violence”, those two rarely go together unless, for example, the husband asked them, hire them, etc. to do this. Quite a tragedy and she looks like an attractive promising young lady. Bless Her Soul.
