There was a study done and published in Esquire magazine that found a direct link between porn usage and boredom. During the winter months, and during events like the government shutdown, porn sites saw a steep increase in traffic. Additionally, the hours between 10PM to 1AM saw higher numbers than other times of day. I think if we began by combating the problem of boredom, that’d be a more effective start to solving the issue than banning it and thereby ignoring it altogether.

Let’s also limit stressful events too. There was a 48% spike in usage immediately after the Hawaii missile scare.

Government or church bans rarely solve anything. There’s also a risk that bans, once we get in the habit, will backfire and the government will end up banning pro-Catholic media. Best to just let everything be out there.

Personal “bans” where somebody just decides not to bother watching or reading drivel any more can be very fruitful.

Banning anyone in the print or broadcast media would be wrong. The Church is made of a lot of people. Some are good and some are not so good. The media is the same way. There are some really good people and some who are not. But the way forward is to do the correct thing. If that is done, then there is no need to worry about what people write or report. Transparency and light leads to things that are right. God is not afraid of those who oppose the teaching of the Church.God wants us to pray everything. Even those who we disagree with. 🙏🙏🙏

What “church” are you talking about…the Catholic church…the 32,000 Protestant churches…I’m sure there are quite a few Evangelical Protestants who consider the Catholic church “the whore of Babylon” that would like to see Catholic media banned from corrupting people…maybe even CAF…lol…should we set up a media inquisition?..what about Jews…Muslims…Hindus…etc…they don’t agree with the teachings of “the church”…whatever that means…should we have nation wide book burning programs against anything considered anti Christian…they did that in Nazi Germany against Jews…and which some would say should include Catholic literature…Catholics could retaliate by burning Protestant anti Catholic books…lets not forget radio and TV…both Catholic and Protestant…which ones should we ban because we all can’t agree with the teachings…science books are pretty much anti Christian…take them all out of schools and burn them also…banning doesn’t work…we humans will find ways around anything that is banned…or prohibited…it’s in our (fallen) nature

Well maybe I’m up for another inquisition with a splash of crusades
Really? You think we should use war or torture into forcing others to believe and practice as we do? Please explain how that’s different than Sharia law.
It might be hard to live and practice our faith today, but that does not justify dictating that everyone else must live a certain way just to make our lives easier.
Have some courage, lead by example and not by force, and do your best with the time God has given you.

Oh boy I took my humor too far. I’m joking. Sorry if that wasn’t clear online.
