Hi Everyone,

Im almost half way thru RCIA and I see on my RCIA class schedule Banquet Neophytes.
I tried to find out on my own but I unsuccessful. What is it all about? Im just curious.

Thanks

It sounds like a meal for those newly baptised – in celebration of the baptisms.

Teaching you how to not eat with your fingers? 🙂 Given you probaly got all the sacraments at the vigil, I would say it’s a special dinner. Our church had a buffet after the vigil service to accomplich the same thing! And congratulations on joining the flock as it were.

No im actually coming in to the church and receiving all my sacraments on feast Christ the king.
I was just curious about that - neophytes banquet thing

This isn’t an official stage of RCIA. I go along with John in guessing that it’s a meal for the neophytes (newly baptized).
