Is there a way to be baptised before you go through the RCIA process. Special circumstances, etc.?
Yes, if you desire to fully unite with the church, and are stricken with a potentially grave disease or are in an accident, you can be baptised early. Just contact a priest and tell them the situation. I’ve heard of this happening prior to surgery. Is there a way to be baptised before you go through the RCIA process. Special circumstances, etc.?
If it is likely that you will die very soon the Pastor can receive permission from the Bishop to Baptize, Confirm, Anoint, and give you Holy Communion. In the case where your death is imminent he can do this without first seeking permission from the Bishop. Is there a way to be baptised before you go through the RCIA process. Technically your Marriage can’t be “Blessed” by the Church because it’s not a Sacramental Marriage. Because a Sacramental Marriage requires both persons to be Baptized.Well Im certainly not in any grave danger that I know of But have grown up and around catholics my whole life and have a pretty good understanding of the church its doctrine, gone to mass (not taking communion) of course , I obbserve lent etc. My husband and children are both baptised catholics. My mother thought at the time it would be better for me to make the choice to become whatever religion I wanted not catholic like she was raised and my brother was baptised …I want to go through the RCIA process anyway because you can never know enough …however I am very eager to be baptised , my marriage is being blessed by the church soon and I would like to be baptized for that…
