If you are being Baptised as an adult, do you have go to Confession, or all they all washed away regardless?

Clean slate my friend.

That’s why so many early believers waited until they were near death to be baptized, because the practice of private aural confession had not been developed at that time.

They took it so seriously because they didn’t want to risk losing that salvation.

Never mind…a CA Apologist has answered my question. God bless.

If you are not yet Baptized you cannot go to Confession. Baptism does in fact wash away all sins and Temporal Punishment. You are however called to Repentance before adult Baptism, this is an interior disposition.

When I did this, I had no confession as a catechumen. I believe the candidates in RCIA may have done this.

I also did full immersion–so it truly felt like a clean slate. Sometimes I wish I could get re-baptized, but it is a one shot deal. Have to go to reconcilation now.😃
