All of that is correct except that being of catechetical age and in RCIA she must according to the norms of the Rite receive Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion all at the same time, normally at the Easter Vigil.

Although it’s not the ideal, the Rite allows for children to be confirmed with their class at a later date – at least it does in my Canadian book. That and having reception of baptized Christians at the Easter vigil are rather weird anomalies of the RCIA, something that the folks at the Forum for the Catechumenate are not really happy about – or at least they weren’t when I did “Beginnings and Beyond” in 2000.

We have received children (>7 or 8) who have already been Baptized by receiving First Holy Communion and later receiving Confirmation with the normal age group. But children who are Baptized at the Easter vigil receive all three as depicted in the Bishops DVD on RCIA “Come to the Water”
