I’d definitely like some meaningful relationships with other Catholics but relationships are a 2 way thing and sometimes the people you go to church with aren’t interested.
I’m guessing none of those are in her parish, I know they aren’t at mine!
Yeah I used to be like that too, not wanting to approach people, but in this case you have to put your child first, wouldn’t you want your child to have people around as well as you that are part of the Catholic faith. Would you be able to ask the priest to introduce you to other mothers, people that have had babies recently?
I would be open to that, I’m hoping that there might be some others at baptism class too. I don’t think we have any women’s societies at my parish though. Social events are pretty infrequent.
