Baptism source material

[papabenefan]

I’m writing a paper on baptism and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on finding any papal writings, letters, exhortations, etc… on the necessity of baptism as a sacrament and so forth? Searching the Vatican website can get a little complicated if you don’t know where to look. Thanks!

This is the website for everything the Church teaches in her Catechism. Type in “baptism” on the search line and you will find 10 pages of references, plus links to the Vatican teachings in the footnotes.

In addition to this, I furnished 18 pages to you in your other thread. If all of this, plus the theology course you took on baptism through the seminary on line, are not enough information, you will not find a great deal more help on the Vatican website.

I hope you don’t want us to write your paper for you? The premise of taking courses is to learn to do your own research and to submit your understanding in a thesis as the test result. Best wishes on doing an honest job with this.

Try this one…star.ucl.ac.uk/~vgg/rc/aplgtc/hahn/m5/scmnt3.html

And the Catechims references back source materials…the Fathers, papal and church documents.
