They’re all free to think what they want. And a good many of them ain’t gonna be lookin’ too kindly on any o’ that vaticano nonsense. Nosiree, bobby!
Dialogue with Baptists? You might as well start herding cats.😃

Be kind to Baptists…they are about 85% of our (RCC) converts.
PS. I was one of them:)

Me too!🙂 Thank God for leading me to His Truth.

I have nothing against Baptists, my whole family are still of course! But I could never be one again. Not with what I know now. I would love to have some unity between these two faiths. My family refuse to even realize Catholics are Christians. They’re pretty hostile towards me now. But I follow God above all else, so if my family wants to hate me for being a good Christian so be it.

never happen
Okay…You can stay Baptist and I’ll become Catholic. I’ll let my mom know about the trade off so she’ll quit bugging me.👍

God Bless allischalmers, may God’s will be done in your life and His love and truth surround you always. This I wish for all of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Nah, she admits to know nothing about Catholicism.

I’ve spent the last year and half begging and asking the Holy Spirit to lead me to God’s Truth and where God wants me to be. I figure, had God wanted me to stay Baptist, I’d still be there. 🤷 But thats just me, I trust God to not lead me astray.

You could be leading youself astray or the devil could be fooling you

:whacky:

I’m smart enough to be able to admit I know I might not be 100% correct. But I am closer to God than I ever thought possible as a Baptist, so thats why I like it better. I doubt Satan would draw me closer to Our Lord. If he would, then he’s on the wrong side!

Meh, I figure what works for me doesn’t work for everyone. I’m not one to judge. I know I’m not perfect nor a brain surgeon. But I do my very best to follow God, I’ve done my research and spent hours and hours in prayer to get where I am today…to grow as best I can spiritually to glorify God, and as Christians thats really all we can do. We’ll find out who was “right” in the afterlife.🤷

With Respect…

Why is it that when I was ‘church hoping’ and even thought I found a ‘church’ i never fully found God.

It wasn’t until I started Praying the rosary, and looking at things from a Catholic Perspective that my love for God increased countless times over.

If the Catholic Church is led by the devil as you implied by saying the devil may be leading the individual to the CC, then why has my love for Christ, amount of scripture reading, prayer, etc all increased?

In Christ

After seeing the GARBC forum and Alli’s posts, I know what forum those fine folks at Landover Baptists are plagiarizing. 😃

And I ask the same thing…

(Raised Baptist and guilted into baptism at the age of seven for fear that our preacher would have to leave if he didn’t save anyone…so of course, my precious little self was brought to tears for fear of him leaving and I was crying because I didn’t want him kicked out of the church NOT because the Holy Spirit got me and I was saved at that moment…thank you!) deep breath now sigh…

Our Baptists must be a lot more benign than others’. Ours have firm beliefs in being saved, but grant that any path to heaven works. Most of them even allow that a Catholic can go to heaven. Maybe their KKK affiliation and rabid anti-Catholicism in the past just plain wore them out. I kind of like Southern Baptists myself. They’re particularly fun to drink with. (Oh? You didn’t know that? Shhhhh)
Baptists don’t drink, that’s a secret. 👍
