God our Father,
You have a plan for each one of us,
You hold out to us a future full of hope.
Give us the wisdom of your Spirit
so that we can see the shape
of your plan in the gifts
you have given us,
and in the circumstances
of our daily lives.
Give us the freedom of your Spirit,
to seek you with all our hearts,
and to choose Your Will above all else.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

I was there about twenty years ago, having gone to both a Baptist university and seminary, and been a Baptist for the first, 35 years of my life. There are a few of us here. My last confirmation of the need to follow the Catholic Church came from John MacArthur, of all people. Go figure.

Greetings @_Ben,

Here is a great resource, the Institute of Catholic Culture. Over 700 hours of archived videos on Catholic theology, history, the Sacraments, Scripture and so much more. Check it out, its FREE! Click on the library ling and you can filter the topics, search by speaker or find their featured talks. Here is their YouTube page as well.

Hi all!

My name is Ben, nice to meet you! I am a 19 year old male in my second year of a Bachelor of Ministries at a non-denominational Bible College.

I know I am called to be in full-time Ministry - just not knowing what that looks like being on the fence denomination wise at the moment.

I currently attend a Baptist church, having been brought up in one for 8 years, then a Pentecostal church for 5 years, and I am now attending another Baptist church for the last year and a half.

I strongly feel like making the leap to Catholicism, having lived with a beautiful Catholic family for the last year and a half, (having been to 3 or so Catholic Mass’).

Throughout my theological studies at my non-denominational Bible College, I find myself incredibly drawn towards the tried and tested Catholic theology.
added to what others have already said,

If I could take a famous quote and change it a bit

To be deep in history is to cease being a Protestant

to

to be deep in history is to be Catholic 🙂

Go back to the beginning Ben, Jesus established the Catholic Church

Back on the following thread I posted (due to space limits) some highly condensed history, all properly referenced

And maybe look into Byzantine Catholicism as well… married men can be ordained there as well.

Well I really love my Roman Catholic Church and all the social justice causes their involved in here in the USA. It my faith from birth. Feels great coming back home to it.

It’s not either/or.

I don’t think you could celebrate in the Latin Rite, but you certainly wouldn’t be separated from American Catholic social justice. And they’re not different faiths, just different shades of the same faith, so to speak
