As a baby, my grand-father baptized me because he wanted me to be in a state of grace in case I died. I wasn’t in danger of death, but my grandpa wanted to baptize me out of tradition and to put me in a state of grace. Then when I was around 3 months old, I was baptized Episcopalian. This baptism was definitely valid. Then in Rome, I was baptized again by a Catholic priest. Which of these baptisms was the one? I got confirmed last year at the age of 19, and I’m wondering if I was a lapsed Catholic (baptized Catholic) who reverted to Catholicism or if I was a full on convert. Was my confirmation valid if they didn’t have my certificate? Thank you.
