Baptizing those where death is close

Could we argue this however from the POV of intercessory prayer? If God is going to intervene then why pray for someone else?

From that reasoning could we baptise realizing that consent is required by the will and God will respect that and give him the opportunity to assent or not? Or would this be against theology?

Because Christ commanded us to do it, and if the circumstances allow it, then it should be applied. If however there is no certainty of his consent, then maybe praying for his soul and offering Mass is the way to go.
 
OP. Either way if you can baptise or not… I would definitely pray for that person. I would recommend a divine mercy chalet myself . I’ll say a few prayers for your loved one.
 
The person refused consent when he was lucid. So the circumstances do not allow it. Christ also commands us to obey his Church.
