Sadly he seems to be the only Bee Gee stayin’ alive. It is so sad that his brothers both passed relatively young.

Edited to add, and his brother Andy too.

Which reminds me, I was going to add them to my prayer list. Thank you for the reminder!

It’s a shame his brothers were not granted the same honour. I think Robin was the best singer of the group.

Holy smokes - is that his son on the far left? It HAS to be - or a nephew!!

I’ve heard others say that as well. Barry always stood out because of the falsetto and being seen as the “leader” since he was the eldest. It’s so sad that he’s the last remaining Gibb brother.

Here’s another old favorite that I think showcases their individual talents. Barry does the famous “hey” sigh. “I could never see tomorrow. No one said a word about the sorrows.”

“Massachusetts” is my favorite.

Ah, nothing like bloodline harmony.

Found this. This is awesome. From their One Night Only Live in Vegas in 1997.

i think Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were knighted also.
in the U.S. don’t they have a ceremony at the Kennedy Center every year to bestow
medals? some are entertainers, some might be teachers or doctors. i don’t
usually watch.

Cities usually honor firemen, policemen and paramedics.

Poor soul …all his brothers gone and so young.
“Run to me " and as it has already been posted” How can we mend a broken heart- " are probably the first songs I remember. Together with the Melody ones and Odessa.
If this makes him glad, glad for him too.

funny that a group from England would sing a song about going home to
Massachusetts!
Here in Australia we claim them for Australia! The video from @Limoncello4021 (Post #6) is from an Australia TV show, where they started their career before moving to England and then the US. They were born in England.

It’s very common for overseas groups to write songs for the American market. Another one from the BeeGees is New York Mining Disaster, 1941.

I was always puzzled that some of the BeeGee’s early masterpieces (60’s and 70’s) were not more widely recognised for their songwriting (and harmonies!).

Words is one of my all time favourite songs, in any genre.

First of May is also exquisite. This is a beautiful tribute video by a fan. The Gibbs home movie must have been shot in Queensland in the 60’s, probably in their hometown of Redcliffe (now an outer suburb of Brisbane).

Words is lovely, indeed. I couldn’t find the live album version but this conveys a sweetness which seems to run through so much of their music.
