Baseball legend Yogi Berra passes at age 90

One of the great players of all time, Yogi Berra, has passed away.

X-rays of his head revealed nothing.

(That was an actual headline, a half-century or so ago.)

May Eternal Light soon shine upon him.

What’s your favorite Yogi story/malapropism?

Once went 148 straight games without an error.

Managed both Yankees and Mets to WS.

Good family man. Catholic.

When asked by his wife where he wanted to be buried, Yogi said “Surprise me!”

My other favorite (about a restaurant) - “Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded!”
 
Apparently he never said some of the things he said. Rest in peace.
 
He got his career in baseball because of a priest.

His parents didn’t want him to become a professional baseball player but his parish priest thought it would be a good fit and talked his folks into it.

Sometimes the worst decision is paralysis by analysis. < Not one of Yogi’s sayings here. 😉

So if you come to the fork in the road (decision time) … do SOMETHING. If you take the wrong road, you’ve learned, can go back and take the better one. If you take the right road, that is better than procrastinating forever at the crossroads. 😃

By the same token … if you come to the fork in the restaurant … use it … but don’t TAKE it!
