On the heels of the “Star Trek” thread…

Are there any fans of the Sci-Fi Channel’s reimagining of Battlestar Galactica out there?

took me a little to get used to it. but not bad.alot darker than the original, and the space battles need sound,but thats ok.

So far I have enjoyed it. We do not have cable, so my husband and I had watched it since it came on DVD. We just watched the “Pegasus” episode a few days ago. Unfortunately, it is a part 1, so now we have to wait a few months for the new releases.

It did take a while to get use to Starbuck being a woman, but now I like it. I love that Richard Hatch has had a recurring guest role on the series. He was the original Apollo, for those who don’t know.
It would be cool if Dirk Benadict had a guest shot, since he was the original Starbuck. Perhaps he could play the Earth “Starbuck” when the rag-tag fleet find Earth.

I watch the show every Friday when the episodes are new. I think the premise is good but I do wish they would explain the “plan” a bit more thoroughly. If there are Cylon agents among the survivors and the Cylons have been following the fleet then why not destroy them like they did the Colonies? In the miniseries the President offers an unconditional surrender and they do not call off the attack in any way.

I do not like the apparent “fundamentalist” type faith of the Cylons. Hopefully, they will explain it sometime soon.

I’ve found it to be one of the best Sci Fi shows I have seen in a very long while.
I doubt they could have picked a better actor for Adama.

Watch it every Friday! One of the best drama’s in years and definately the best sci-fi show in years.

My dh and I got hooked, even though we were underwhelmed by the 2 hr. pilot. For the first season they were fighting Cylons and trying to discover who are Cylons among them, which was exciting. But now, it’s turned into a soap opera! Nearly every character is a seriously flawed person with hardly any redeeming value. We’ve become bored. If I wanted to watch a soap I could tune in Days of Our Lives or some other such nonsense. I never watched Dallas or Knots Landing or any of the other night time soaps, so I don’t see why I should want to watch one set in space. Very disappointing!
