Hi I have been battling advanced ovarian cancer now for 3 1/2 years and with the grace of God have been doing a really good job. My cancer is advancing even more and I am seeing the stress and worry and concern on my family. It sometimes feels that everyone is just going to fall apart, I am not afraid of dying but the process of getting there. I am starting to feel that my family would be so much better off ifc God took me quickly, I am 46 and been married for 27 years we have four sons from 21 - 26 and it is so hard on all of us going through this suffering, I do not feel that I am suffering as much as they are watching their wife and mother be sick. I do not want to die but I know that God has a better plan for evryone than what I could possibly do for them and I know that they belieive it also, sometimes it is so hard to be gracious and not to question why this is happening. My husband and I were just starting to look forward to our years together being so young with grown children and now he will be without his wife, the boyz will go on and be ok as they will find their wives and start their fmilies. I don’t know what I am trying to say except that I was so looking forward to these years with my husband and now he will be alone.

thanks for listening

Dear Siabh,
I will pray for you and your family. Remember always that God loves you and your family very much.

Saibh, you have endured so much and you are so brave.

Jesus please help Saibh with her overwhelming difficulties. Please give her peace of boy and mind and spirit, and complete all that You will for her life. When she joins You may she do so with pure loveliness…Trishie

Saibh,

You have the ticket on redemptive suffering; please pray for us as well.

:gopray2:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.

Remember, O most sweet Jesus, that no one who has had recourse to Thy Sacred Heart, implored its help, or sought its mercy was ever abandoned. Encouraged with confidence, O tenderest of hearts, we present ourselves before Thee, crushed beneath the weight of our sins. In our misery, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, despise not our simple prayers, but mercifully grant our requests. Amen.

There are not enough words to express how
impressed I am with your attitude. You are one
brave woman. You are a wonderful wife and mother!!!
With all you are going through, you still think of them first.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for a miracle for you! God bless you for your courage and strength. I pray for your family!

Praying for you and your family.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

You ARE an amazing, strong woman. I pray that God provides your family with a miracle. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing … with all my heart I am praying for you and your family.

Sorry, that’s exceptionally sad and I’m sure extremely frightening for all of you and yes, I’m sure you do question many times why this is happening to you and your family. Most people would.

I believe though, that God almost never punishes people. He simply prepares them for the future in this life or in another.

It does say something in the bible to the effect that in end times, the first will come last and the last first. The bible also refers to things there are “times” for – a time for this and a time for that.

I believe these sayings refer to the future in any context, whether it’s in this life or the next, and at some point you will live a life quite opposite to what you are living now and will benefit others in ways you might not have, had you not gone through this.

Too often people look at what appears to be horribly bad luck as punishment. They don’t discover until years later that the punishment was actually a gift in disguise. This goes for your family as well. Their direction, even in this life, may change an awful lot as a result of the pain they too will face. Most often the direction people take after being given one of God’s tough advancement lessons to assist them in the future is exceptionally positive - far more positive than it would’ve been otherwise.

Even Jesus suffered terribly before he moved on. In the end, I’m quite sure he received the ultimate reward.

Anyway, regardless of which direction your life takes, I wish you and your family good luck and a “not too difficult” journey.
