Does anyone know anything about “Baywatch”? I think they’re an organization from New York or thereabouts.

You have this in the “popular media” section, not “social justice”, so I’m guessing you’re inquiring about the TV show and not an environmental group?

It’s a trashy show that exists only to show off the beautiful bodies of artificially enhanced actresses and actors. The story line focus seems to be on fornication.

(it’s a soap opera set on the beach)

Actually, I didn’t know where to post it, so I posted it here. I definitely didn’t mean the TV show, and I didn’t really even know what they did, so your information that they are an environmental company makes sense to me. Do you know any more about them?

:o I should have guessed you meant an enviro-action group. When I googled it, it came up with numerous agencies from Washington State to New Zealand- all concerned with their local estuaries and pollution.

Staying with the re-post to another forum theme Baywatch in its day was billed as the most watched television program in the world, before CBS claimed first CSI Miami and now the original CSI took that title. It followed the exploits of a unit of Los Angeles County ocean lifeguards with short lived spinoffs about the lieutenants second job as a private investigator and link up with other jurisdictions Australia, Hawaiian, etc ocean lifeguards. Sort of an Emergency without fires and in red swimming gear/LA County lifeguard uniforms.

It was the iconic role of David Haselhoff as the unit commander and had many changes in castmembers of his lifeguards. Most notably ex Playboy models Erika Eleniak who was by Pamela Anderson

Posted on the “Popular Media” section, I also was thinking of a TV show.
It was a good joke. 😃

Are you referring to a gym or a tan place?

And the African American Playmate turned lifeguard who had a twin. I think it was not a coincidence and the casting of Playboy Playmates was intentional. While Erika Elenik did not breakout from the role like her direct replacement Pamela Anderson and later Carmen Electra did, she was the first when Baywatch was a major network show and more so then other cast members her job was to fill out the lifeguard work uniform.

I remember watching this (and ‘Baywatch Nights’) when I was about 10, and I swear to you, even though no one will believe me, that I was NOT watching this for the half naked women!
