Are you secretly the British Ambassador to the United States?/
No, but I’ve spent 18 years married to - and 20 years with - a British citizen, have lived in the UK, and have spent the last two decades getting most of my news from the BBC, including preferring them over the US broadcasts I could get (we got all three major networks on the satellite channel Orbit, as well as CNN, of course) when I lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

By law, BBC must remain unbiased. Are they always 100% successful? Of course not. But they still have a code they are obligated to follow.

It is very true that BBC Radio is less so; I listen to Radio 4 on SiriusXM. I’m primarily talking about the television news, however.

Ah it’s not. I live in Britain and I call it Tory TV. The level of professionalism is getting lower by the day. I agree with Peter Hitchen’s views. It probably seems to you like this because American Journalism is terrible. We can still hope for something better.
My British husband disagrees, but to each their own.

Everything has fallen off the rails in the last five to ten years to some extent.

The fact remains that this video in question is on a digital feed that isn’t actually BBC news, but a niche stream geared at the 18+ crowd. So I wouldn’t expect proper journalism here as the stuff is apparently independently submitted.

The BBC by law is impartial and unbiased. Totally obvious when you watch it.
Apart from its line on abortion, euthanasia, pro-EU/ pro-remain, socially liberal positions, and anti-Trump, in my opinion. I live in the UK and I do not view the BBC as an impartial broadcaster. I think the licence fee should be scrapped and let the BBC compete on the same grounds as commercial channels.

On the plus side, the BBC does create good dramas and shows good natural history programmes.

On ITV and BBC they talk about the curse
Philosophy is useless theology is worse
History boils over there’s an economics freeze
Sociologists invent words that mean ‘Industrial Disease’

Your Tories are nearly indistinguishable from Labour and the Lib Dems. Most of them support abortion on demand, introduced same-sex ‘marriage’ and obsessed with quotas.
American Journalism is terrible.
It is. British journalism is much better.
I live in Canada and we get all the American ‘news’ channels. They’re not good. It would be great if we had Sky News. It’s quite good despite it being a commercial station and partially owned by Fox. Hopefully that hasn’t changed. It would definitely be great to get some news on TV beyond Canada and the US, especially from the Motherland.

I was sickened by this video the depiction of the Eucharist in such a way, believing in the real presence, and it came to my timeline via a Protestant priest I won’t mention the Faith name or anything, I won’t judge him for posting it, but it seemed bad on several levels, part of the reason I have suspended my fb account, I just need a break from fb.

We can get Sky on our Apple TV. Have you tried that? Not sure if you can get it up there that way or not.

British journalism is much better, except for a handful of subjects, mostly involving the British Isles directly, where the British media outlets have shown incredible bias just like the US outlets show in dealing with US subjects.

I’m fine with listening to the BBC discuss the US news, i listen to that all the time and I agree it is generally an improvement over MSNBC, Fox, etc.
The BBC covering stories in actual Britain is something else again.
I have a lot of friends in UK and my social media just lights up when the BBC says something stupid about their own country, which seems to happen regularly.

The style of the video reminds me of this…

We don’t. From what I’ve heard, Apple TV in Canada is quite terrible compared to what Americans have.
