I recently read about the association of a former US President with six letters in his first, middle and last name with the number 666, the number of the beast in Revelations. Several years ago, I heard this practice referred to as “beasting”. In particular, I read then that someone can be “beasted” by taking any combination of personal attributes and coming up with 666. I’ll use an example that can’t possibly apply to anyone so that I don’t “beast” someone unintentionally. A person is 150 years old, has three children and lives at 216 Elm St. You multiply 150 by 3 to get 450, then add 216 to get 666 and you have “beasted” the person. My question - isn’t it a sin, possibly mortal, to “beast” someone, even in one’s own thoughts?
