I can’t stop thinking about this wonderful young man who was beatified today.

As someone just coming back to the faith again, I find he inspires me so much. He is the perfect role model for the modern world, and he makes sainthood seem attainable!

His outlook on life seemed wonderful and his love of Jesus, Mary and all those he met is so apparent.

I hope to love Jesus and the Eucharist as much as he did.

I feel so privileged to have witnessed this unique beatification of such a unique Saint to be. His story is just wonderful, and for his family to be alive and to witness the occasion today made me very emotional.

There is no question or overall point to this post but I just felt like sharing 🙂

I’m glad Blessed Carlos speaks to you so strongly!

I admit I have raised my eyebrow a bit as to how this young man who only died very recently is on such a fast track to beatification, when others who seemed to me to have done more have seemingly been sidelined. Of course, since his time here was short he did not leave the amount of written work or life history that a person who died at age 75 would have left, and that helps his review process to go more quickly.

But in the end, God helps people become saints who will help others to grow in faith. So if others are very much inspired by him, then that’s all that matters, not how I feel about it. 🙂

Yes I have to say I agree with you, and even during the ceremony I was wondering how much more the Cardinal for example has done in his life compared to Carlo, and he may never become a Saint (capital S).

But I don’t know, something about that young boy speaks to me, and I think he is perfect for our generation. I hope he inspires today’s youth to become close to Jesus. I think there is something special about him.

With how quickly devotion to him has grown, earlier today I tought that he seems like a new St. Therese…

(For anyone who doesn’t know, St. Therese also died young and just some years after her death she turned from a practically unknown nun to one of the most famous Saints, with Miracles and all. The case of Carlo seems similar).
