Look at these absolutely breathtaking paintings/artwork of Mary, our beloved Mother of God. I showed my son, and he thought I should post a thread…and have everyone post their beautiful pics of Mary, too.🙂 So here you go! Enjoy…these are so utterly beautiful! Will you post some, too?

Wow, those are beautiful. I particularly like the third picture. It makes Mary seem more real to me, as if she could be my own mother.

In the fourth picture, I kind of thought that the angels are pressing in a little too closely, and invading the baby Jesus’s personal space! Just goes to show that different people like different things. 😃
 
This was always one of my favorites, my grandma has a recreated painting of this in her house.

I have this hanging in my “sacred space” along with a statue of “Our Lady Of Innocence” ( Goth Catholic’s favorite). I am adding “Our Lady Of Good Counsel” and " Mary, Queen Of Peace"

aarons–that is a lovely picture of Mary! How fortunate your grandmother is to have that in her home!🙂
 
This is my personal favorite of Mary and my hero Pope John Paul II.
 
gasp joey! That is so unusual…I have never seen anything like that…who is the artist?

I know…me too. I will have to backtrack to the websites I copied and pasted from…and see if they give an artist’s name.

These are just beautiful. Our Sunday Bulletin had the one with the Angles playing the violin on the cover. Truly great art work.
