So there is a thread about disappointing Easter Vigils, what about the wonderful ones?!

Ours was great. We had close to 20 people baptized, including “my” 5 kids, four as adults and one as an infant, another 10 make professions of faith, and another 20 or so just receive confirmation! It was absolutely wonderful. I love having the privilege of teaching the RCIA kids and then getting to watch them receive all of their sacraments, it is the most amazing thing ever!

The rest of it was also wonderful, 3 priests, 4 deacons, 5 altar servers, and tons of other people. Lots of singing and chanting and incense. A wonderful service all around!

So who else had a great Easter Vigil?

Mine was very beautiful. Three priests and an Archbishop(The Apostolic Nuncio) and eight altar servers(I was one of them). The Nuncio chanted the Exulted beautifuly. Most parts of the Mass chanted, lots of incense used, very reverent.

Ours was amazing as well - so beautiful!!! Three priests and a deacon, at least 15 altar boys (not even close to what we had for Good Friday, but Vigil was late so the younger ones did not assist). Nearly the entire Mass (EF) was chanted, only the organ, very solemn and so very beautiful. A friend of ours was baptized/confirmed along with his sister and cousin - it was such a wonderful wonderful celebration!!

God blessed us with His Son - how cool is that!!??

The Easter Vigil I went to was beautiful 🙂

I went to the Cathedral. I loved seeing all the candles, flowers, etc, especially when the lights were dimmed, and they had a choir and an organ, and the Bishop was there… it was very reverent/beautiful 🙂

Attendence was down, but it was an otherwise glorious celebration. I manage to get a few pics from the loft and of the altar after Mass.

I loved the music at our Vigil. It was top quality. :bounce:

Good idea for a thread.

We had a fantastic Easter Vigil. We had roughly six adult baptisms, about twenty in total receive first Eucharist/confirmation (I was one), and six couples had their marriage convalidated.

The choir was in top form. The Monsignor and two of the deacons presided, and did a wonderful job.

Me! Me!

Ours was wonderful! I just love our Pastor and his homily and way with the nervous confirmands were another reason why.

The church was beautifully decorated. Flowers. Incense. Gorgeous vestments. We had 3 priests, our instituted acolyte (on his way to being a permanent deacon), and 6 altar boys.

Our PV chanted the Easter Sequence, the choir sounded wonderful, we had 2 trumpets, and the bells during the Gloria (rung by a very small altar boy).

CHRIST IS RISEN!
