This is a beautiful act by the movie’s producers.

The most amazing thing is that Abrams and the rest of the people at Bad Robot and Paramount decided to keep this absolutely private, forgoing any goodwill publicity they could have milked it for. Originally, there was to be no publicizing it at all, but the family decided to release a short statement to let the people on Reddit who were pulling for this to happen know that there was a happy ending to the story.

Very cool.
Never was much of a trekie, but I just might try to watch these new ones.
I’ve only seen a couple of episodes from the old series, but Trouble with Tribbles was one of them. My siblings got a kick out of it.

Disney did the same a few years ago for a dying little girl who wanted to see the movie “Up”. Just when you have given up on them, someone in Hollywood acts like a human being.
